PREMHA MembershipI have often wondered what to write in these sort of things. I have stumbled across and intentionally read countless biographies, only to be left in awe!
At the same token, I guess I want to be as real as possible. My name is Arjun. I am a Canberran born and bred, from a long history of Punjabi ancestry. My father is a first generation immigrant, and my mother a fourth generation Australian-Punjabi.
My hope is that every interaction is therapeutic. Meaning every person I get to help in their lives feels better in some way or another. I joined psychiatry because I wanted to help those most vulnerable, at a time when they needed it most. I really love my job and there isn’t a day I regret. I don’t have magic a magic wand and I’m not a cowboy. I don’t want to treat my patients like guinea-pigs being experimented on. What I guarantee is honesty and kindness, always.
It began with an idea to give patients an experience that is indulgent, high-end and makes them feel special. I hope that you do, and I hope that through some kindness life can be better.
About me - well I love cars, food, travelling, food again (especially dessert) and TV. I swear TV is often my best friend! I don’t really enjoy exercise or the gym, but I force myself to go. I like summer more than winter and being in Canberra can be difficult in that way. My personal values are family, justice and respect, which is why I founded ARIAH Group and PSYXIA.

Chief Operational Officer
Hi my name is Joanne. I am the operational officer and am responsible for all the administrative aspects. This includes assisting patients, clients and families navigate the booking and administrative process, as well as making sure everyone is comfortable and their experience is memorable.
I enjoy cooking and being with my family. An accountant by background, I am also a lifeline volunteer. I hope that patients experience competency and compassion every time they interact with me. I don’t wish mental illness on my worst enemy, and I feel very humbled to be a part of the clinical journey to recovery.
This is a photo of me in Spain, where I did a bus tour. It was a real highlight - as a vegetarian I loved the ice-cream!

Psychiatric Assistant
I am the typist and assistant in the clinic, and you will likely meet me in the first appointment. Although I am pretty quiet, I enjoy helping others and I feel that it is a privilege to be part of the patient journey. With clinical assistance, I ensure the appointment is recorded properly and accurately to minimise errors and ensure efficient communication between us and your primary care teams. I love gaming and am studying in university as well.
